Vista bad, XP good!

On my old laptop at least.

I gave Vista a shot on my old laptop and I really did give it some time but it is going bye bye for now. This old machine just can’t handle Vista and now that I have XP back I am a happy camper! XP is blazing fast compared to Vista and I can’t wait to get a new laptop because I still can’t do high end processing on this old dog.

One thing about Vista that really bothered me was the networking, it SUCKED! XP can switch between wireless and wired networks with out problems. Vista on the other hand, you might as well restart the machine. It’s not worth waiting. I am sure my new machine will be running Vista (I am too poor for a Mac right now) and I hope it will handle networking better.

Also I am not a fan of the explorer interface, I don’t find it as simple to use as XP. Maybe after some time and getting used to it I will learn to like it. Oh well, see ya in a few weeks Vista. I am looking to get a new Dell XPS 1530, I need a beast so I am going to keep my eye’s on outlet.dell.com for a good one.

For now I am back in XP bliss… : )
